An important property of expanded plastic is its insulating capacity. The industry for climate control is dealing with expanded plastic in an increasingly innovative way. Where a few years ago the application was mainly technical, nowadays it is also used cosmetically.
A few years ago, Synprodo won the Material Engineering Award for the complete housing of a boiler in EPP. The etching of moulds makes the appearance of expanded plastics attractive and durable, and offers the opportunity to say goodbye to conventionally used materials such as steel and thermoplastics.
